Photography Permission Policy

Periodically, the Museum takes photographs and video of Museum visitors and activities for use in promotional and educational materials. With admission to Museum, you give permission to the Museum for the recording of photographs and/or video of yourself and your dependents. You grant the Museum all rights to use these images for educational, promotional, advertising and other opportunities that advance the overall mission of the Museum. Please notify the Front Desk or call (561) 742-6780 if you do not consent to this policy.

Visitation Refund Policy*

To request a refund for a missed play session reservation, please note that you have 15 days from the date of the missed reservation to do so. It may take up to 72 hours to process your request. Refund requests should be sent via email to info@schoolhousemuseum.org

Providing us with this information will help us process your request as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thank you for understanding and adhering to our refund policy. We value your patronage and hope that you enjoy your visit to the Schoolhouse Children's Museum.

*This policy is for play sessions only and does not apply to classes, merchandise, birthday parties or special event tickets.

Stroller Parking

We welcome strollers throughout our museum. For your convenience, a designated Stroller Parking area is available on the second floor, near The stair railing. Feel free to park your stroller here while you explore our exhibits. The Schoolhouse Children’s Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Food Policy

To preserve our exhibits, food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibit areas with the exception of personal water bottles. For your convenience, snack areas are available in the central hallway just outside the exhibits. We appreciate your cooperation in consuming food only in these designated spaces. Please note, our indoor eating areas are not intended for spontaneous celebrations.

Weekday afternoons after 1:30 pm are often less busy, quieter times to visit.
Light, noise and crowds vary widely throughout the building. There are quieter places and exhibits throughout the Museum. These can vary depending on the time of day, time of year, and class schedules. Consider bringing noise reducing headphones.
Accessible restrooms located on both floors of the building, all are sensory-friendly and DO NOT have hand dryers or auto-flush mechanisms. There are two restrooms on the first floor across from the front desk as you enter the building. On the second floor opposite the staircase there is a woman’s restroom with 2 stalls and a men’s restroom.
Becoming a member allows unlimited visits for a year. This is a good option for families where members have limited stamina.
